25-30 medium whole mushroom
2 tbsp. butter
2 cloves of garlic, minced
2 tsp. fresh sage leaves, chopped
3oz. cream cheese, softened
6oz. sharp white cheddar cheese, grated
1/4 lb. breakfast sausage
1/4 C parmesan cheese
1 Tbsp. Grilling Gods Slice of Heaven
1 tsp. Grilling Gods Salt of the Gods
1 tsp. black pepper
1-Clean mushrooms discarding any gills. Remove stems and finely dice.
2-Melt butter in skillet over medium heat. Add diced mushrooms stems, minced garlic, Salt of the Gods and black pepper. Sauté approximately 3 minutes until tender. Add in chopped sage. Sauté an additional minute. Remove from heat and let cool approximately 5 minutes.
3-Preheat oven or smoker to 350°F and grease a large baking dish or pan with butter
4-In a large bowl, combine sausage, cream cheese, white cheddar cheese, Slice of Heaven and sautéed mushroom mixture. Mix together well.
5-Spoon and press mixture into mushroom caps. Lightly sprinkle tops with Parmesan cheese. Place mushrooms in baking dish and bake or smoke for approximately 18-20 minutes until cheese is bubbly and slightly browned.
