Crock Pot Pulled Pork Sandwiches


1 3-5lb pork shoulder

Grilling Gods Sweet Backyard BBQ rub

Grilling Gods Sweet Backyard BBQ sauce (recipe below)

Hawaiian sweet rolls (or any roll of your choice)


1. Cover all sides of your pork shoulder with Grilling Gods Sweet Backyard BBQ rub. Cover and place in refrigerator overnight or 4-8 hours.

2.Pull out of fridge and let sit out on the counter until the pork shoulder gets to room temperature.

3.Place your pork shoulder in Crock Pot and cover with a heavy amount of your homemade Sweet Backyard BBQ sauce (recipe below)

4.Set Crock Pot on high for 6 hours

5.After 6 hours transfer your pork shoulder to a large bowl and pull the shoulder bone out.

6.With two forks or your hands with gloves (caution hot) shred the pork into small pieces

You can add more of the Sweet Backyard BBQ sauce on the shredded meat for more of a sweet tangy flavor or you can serve as is.

7.Tear some Sweet Hawaiian rolls in half and load them up with that delicious meat and enjoy!! (You can add pickles, cheese or more sauce as desired)

Grilling Gods Sweet Backyard Tangy BBQ sauce


3/4 Cup Ketchup (we used Sir Kensingtons Ketchup that is natural)

1/4 Cup Apple Cider Vinegar

3/4 Cup Grilling Gods Sweet Backyard BBQ rub

1/2 Cup Water

3/4 Cup Brown Sugar


Mix all the ingredients together and put in a sealed container and let chill. Can keep in refrigerator for up to 30 days.
